Day 2
Genesis 1:6 – “And God said, Let there
be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from
the waters.”
Declaration: I
proclaim with faith, “Let there be an expanse, a firmament, between my waters
to separate waters from waters” in Jesus’ awesome name!
Create a Space
- Let there be an expanse
between the waters in your world
- Roll-up your sleeves,
and get your hands on deck. Start making the expanse. Get into action.
- Separate. Enlarge your
coast and tent. Widen your horizon. Be elastic. Stretch yourself.
Isaiah 54:2-4 – “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the
curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen
thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and
thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be
inhabited. Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded;
for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy
youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.”
- Increase your capacity.
Do not limit your vessels. Leverage on the resources of others
- Other
People’s Money - You may have to borrow to invest in opportunities ;
- Other
People’s Success – To acquire the knowledge, understanding, and wisdom of
successful people, invest on books, tapes, training disks and study
materials of those who have succeeded in the areas you need to grow ;
- Other
People’s Mistake – Learn how to avoid the mistakes others have made ;
- Other
People’s Relationships – Leverage on the networks and contacts of those
in your circle of interest.)
2 Kings 4:3-6 – “Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy
neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in,
thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into
all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. So she went
from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels
to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full,
that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There
is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.”
- Always invite Jesus into
all that you do. Associate with people who are connected with
solution-providers. Follow godly and good counsels. Believe and obey the
voice of God’s sent. Believe God to be established. Believe God’s prophets
to prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20). Follow divine instructions even if
they do not look or sound logical using the human senses. Fill-up your
vessels with the raw material you have.
John 2:5-10 – “His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto
you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner
of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus
saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the
brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the
feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that
was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the
water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto
him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have
well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until
now.”
- Do not despise divine
declarations.
- Step out and take risks.
2 Kings 7:1, 2, 15-20 – “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD;
Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be
sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of
Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and
said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be?
And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat
thereof.
And they went after them
unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the
Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the
king. And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a
measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a
shekel, according to the word of the LORD. And the king appointed the lord on
whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon
him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the
king came down to him. And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the
king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour
for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria: And
that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should
make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt
see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. And so it fell out unto him:
for the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died.”
- Never withhold a hand of
help to others when you can. Go out of your way to invest in Kingdom
projects. Never allow your present circumstances or disappointments to
deprive you from supporting the work of God. Don’t allow your experience
or professionalism to hinder your obedience to divine instructions. Follow
divine instructions to the letter. Do not limit your capacity to harvest,
and your capacity to receive. Do not allow pride to hinder you from
requesting for the help and support of others. Learn to share your
blessing with others. Do not be selfish or greedy. Do not be emotionally attached to your
present achievements. Be ready to leave your comfort zones. No matter what
your present achievements may be, always be ready to yield yourself to the
higher calling of God whenever it comes.
The Giver is always greater than the gift you receive.
Luke 5:1-10 – “And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to
hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships
standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing
their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed
him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and
taught the people out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto
Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And
Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have
taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they
had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they
should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that
they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees,
saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was astonished,
and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with
Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch
men.”
Genesis 1:7 – “And God made the
firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the
waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.”
- Separate the waters
under the expanse from the waters above it.
- The water under the
expanse is the portion of your regular income that is meant to meet with
your daily and regular needs. This is your bread.
- The water above the
expanse is the portion of your income that is meant to be separated for
investments which will bring in later dividends to meet with your capital
projects. This is your seed.
- Every wise farmer first
of all separate the best of their harvests as seeds for the future before
eating the rest as food.
- Have a financial plan
for all your income, harvest, and gifts. Create a consistent and flexible
budget/template. An example is given below:
- First of
all pay God by separating your tithe. This is the tenth (10%) of your
gross income.
- Secondly,
pay yourself by investing a portion (advisably 10% or more of your
income) into a profit-making investment platform. Profitable investment
platforms include real estates, stocks, bonds, agriculture, etc
- Thirdly,
take care of your basic family needs like food, shelter, and clothing.
- Pay
important bills(utility, school fees),
- Make some
savings, and
- You can
then buy your wants(luxuries, desires, goodies, etc).
- Flexibility comes into
play at the times you have to invest in Kingdom projects, and when you are
led by God to make one sacrifice or the other. Remember the Bible story of
the widow of Zarephath
1 Kings 17:9-16 – “Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and
dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. So
he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold,
the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said,
Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she
was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a
morsel of bread in thine hand. And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have
not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse:
and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me
and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go
and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it
unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God
of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil
fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and
did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat
many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil
fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.”
Genesis 1:8 – “And God called the
firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
- Do not forget that you
need to give names to everything you create or find in your new world.
- Give a name to the
expanse you used to divide your lower and higher waters. The heavens must
rule in your financial system. Know the difference between your assets and
liabilities.
